Xichang Power Grid Invests 1.5 billion Yuan to Build "Two Networks in One"

On March 14, Xichang City held a start-up meeting for power grid planning and construction. With the strong support of the provincial electric power company, Xichang electric power company and Xichang electric power bureau have joined forces to start the planning and construction of Xichang power grid with a total investment of nearly 1.5 billion yuan. After the completion of the project, the current "two networks" of Xichang power grid will be integrated into "one network", providing strong guarantee for the modern ecological garden Xichang.
For a long time, due to the old system, the power supply system in Xichang City is mainly composed of "two networks" of Xichang Electric Power Company and Xichang Electric Power Bureau. Due to the lag of power grid construction and the contradiction between supply and demand of the two power supply enterprises, Xichang power supply has seriously not adapted to the rapid development of Xichang industry and economy and society, so it is urgent to transform the power grid and ensure power supply.
The investment in the "two networks in one" project is nearly 1.5 billion yuan, of which the provincial electric power company has invested 0.813 billion yuan; Xichang Electric Power Bureau has invested 0.55 billion yuan; Xichang Electric Power Company has invested 30 million yuan every year since 2012, and a total of 0.12 billion yuan by 2015. After the unified Xichang power grid is completed, it will connect multiple points to the national power grid to improve the reliability and stability of Xichang power supply.
