Cable line barrier test

The cable line barrier test can use test methods such as DC bridge, AC meter or line pulse tester. The pulse test method has the following advantages over the general DC test method and AC test method:

It can determine the line obstacle in a very short time; it can determine the distance of the obstacle with a high degree of accuracy; it can distinguish the location of several obstacles that exist at the same time; the operation is simple and convenient, easy to grasp, and the test results can be read directly from the indicator. However, it is not very effective to use pulses to check the obstacles of poor line insulation, so it needs to be used in conjunction with other methods. Using a pulse tester to test line obstacles is to send a pulse voltage on the line to be tested. When an obstacle is encountered on the line that transmits the pulse, it will be reflected on the fluorescent screen of the oscilloscope tube, which can quickly and accurately determine the distance and nature of the obstacle point.

For various lines, the pulse propagation speed is known, so as long as the pulse on the line round-trip time is measured, the distance to the obstacle point can be determined. In order to accurately measure the distance of the obstacle point, the instrument is equipped with the distance scale mark converted by the formula, so the distance from the obstacle point to the test point can be directly read out.
