The reporter learned from Northwest Power Grid Co., Ltd. on the 19th that since early March, the power transmission channel from Northwest China to Central China, North China, and East China has realized full-load cross-regional transmission for the first time, with a maximum transmission power of 8.11 million kilowatts, which can greatly alleviate the power shortage in Central China, North China, and East China power grids.

According to the introduction of Northwest Power Grid Co., Ltd., starting from early March, the three 8.11 million-kilowatt power transmission channels of the Northwest Power Grid from Baoji in Shaanxi to Deyang in Sichuan, from Shaanxi to Lingbao in Henan, and from Ningdong to Shandong have begun to transmit power at full load across regions. These power will be used to ease the power shortage in Central China, North China, and East China power grids. According to statistics, as of early March, the amount of electricity transported from Northwest China to Central China, North China, and East China this year has exceeded 10 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of more than 50%.

According to the plan, during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, my country will also increase the delivery of surplus electricity in the northwest, and will build Xinjiang Hami-Henan Zhengzhou, Ningxia Taiyangshan-Zhejiang Shaoxing, Gansu Jiuquan-Hunan Hengyang, Shaanxi Binchang-Shandong Linyi, Xinjiang Hami-Chongqing, Xinjiang Zhundong-Sichuan Chengdu, Gansu Longdong-Jiangxi Xinyu, Northern Shaanxi-Hunan Xiangtan and other 8 DC delivery projects. At the same time, in line with the national development plan for the energy "Golden Triangle" of Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia, and the implementation of the "West-East Power Transmission" strategy, the northern Shaanxi-Weifang and Jingbian-Lianyungang UHV exchange projects will be built starting from northern Shaanxi.

According to the forecast of Northwest Power Grid Co., Ltd., by 2015, the total scale of the northwest power grid will reach 98.11 million kilowatts, and the northwest can "bundle" the surplus fire, water, wind, and photoelectricity in the whole region, realizing the strategic concept of "energy going from the air and electricity sending to the whole of China.
